Finnegan’s Wake Irish Pub<\/strong><\/a>

In Rockville Town Square<\/a>, Finnegan’s Wake Irish Pub happened by chance. Owners Vanessa and Terry always talked about opening their own place. So, after dinner one night at the now closed Gordon Biersch (which they loved), Vanessa identified the need for an Irish pub in the community. As Terry put it best, “we’re here for the neighborhood\u2014and here to stay.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Limerick Pub<\/strong><\/a>

Friends, food, music, and drink are things at the heart of Ireland\u2019s cultural tradition. The Limerick Pub brings that part of Ireland to Montgomery County. The authentic Irish pub offers a great variety of entertainment choices, including live music, pub trivia, darts, and even literary readings. <\/p>\n\n\n

McGinty\u2019s Public House<\/strong><\/a>

Since 2006, McGinty’s Public House has been a local favorite for an excellent meal and a pint. Irish-owned and managed, McGinty’s is a large pub and restaurant on two levels in Downtown Silver Spring<\/a>. They offer a wide variety of great dining, nightly entertainment, excellent happy hour specials, and plenty of opportunities to watch local and national sports. As they say in Ireland, “you’ll never know unless you go!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Irish Inn<\/strong><\/a>

In the 1930s, an old farmhouse burned to the ground and was rebuilt as a tavern, which became Otto\u2019s Grill in 1944. Later serving as a roadhouse-style beer joint, patrons ranging from area bikers to DC lawyers frequented this local watering hole. From 1986 to 2002, the building was home to an upscale restaurant known as The Inn at Glen Echo. In April 2003, the restaurant was sold and reopened as The Irish Inn at Glen Echo. Today, the pub not only stands as a landmark for the community that is rich with history, but is also home to some of the best cuisine in the state of Maryland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Clarksburg Tavern<\/strong><\/a>

While not directly branded as an \u201cIrish pub,\u201d Clarksburg Tavern features all the flavors and fun of a classic community gathering place. This family-owned eatery offers a wide selection of local brews on tap, a mouth-watering Rueben sandwich, and other pub fare. It’s also a place where you can challenge your friends to a game of shuffleboard or pool!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
